Silver
Sterling silver darkens over time. It reacts to air, skin and moisture, and the surface gradually dulls — this is normal and reversible. A soft polishing cloth brings the shine back.
Avoid liquid silver dips and abrasive cleaners on chainmail and woven pieces. The liquid settles between the links and is difficult to rinse out.
Gold plating
Gold plating is a surface layer and wears with time and friction. Keep plated pieces away from perfume, lotion, hairspray and chlorinated water, and put jewelry on after fragrance rather than before.
Stones
Natural stones are softer than metal. Remove pieces before swimming, exercising or sleeping, and keep them out of prolonged heat and direct sunlight, which can dull colour over time.
Storing
Store each piece separately, in the pouch or box it arrived in, in a dry place. Woven and chainmail structures catch easily on fabric and on other jewelry.

Our pieces are made by hand and, whenever possible, can be repaired by hand. If a link opens or a stone becomes loose, please report it using our form.
